Hello Everyone, I am so excited to be part of IBPSA and the group of professionals that have invested their time to bring quality programs to the pet care industry.

After working in the non-profit world as a volunteer for many years I took a job in the pet care industry. As it would turn out that job would change my life and career goals.Globally, the pet care industry has seen significant growth in products and services.

Business markets have changed and new ideas and technology are presenting themselves daily. Recognizing the need for a new approach from an association serving this industry and with the encouragement of those in the industry I co-founded IBPSA in March 2010.Our vision is simple, “Outstanding products, educational materials, and customer service that always exceeds our members expectations”. IBPSA has lots of exciting things cooking and I’m excited to lead the association as we develop and unveil these new products and programs.

IBPSA enhances the abilities of pet care service providers through education, legislative information, and access to current industry trends and products. This is a service that is greatly needed within the pet care industry.

The rapid growth of pet ownership has resulted in the rapid growth of the pet care services industry, the breadth of services that are delivered and how they are delivered. The changes that are happening and the wealth of knowledge and experience available in our industry are extensive. As business owners in the pet care services industry, we need access to as much support as we can get. With the sincere, professional and passionate effort behind the resources being provided by IBPSA, I believe the value will speak for itself. 

As a small business owner and operator, what I look for is an organization that can provide the resources I need to help me, as I make the business decisions I have to make on an ongoing basis. Another key value to me is access to resources in centralized areas that are specific to my type of business. A third key asset such an organization can bring to me is specific support of my efforts in my business by providing educational information of value to me as a business owner and operator; and educational information of value to my staff and to my clients.

In the age we live in now we can “Google®” just about anything and get somewhat informed on just about any topic we need to be informed on. The problem comes with trying then to research or “drill down” to the specific information that is most appropriate to the issue at hand, be it a personnel situation, a pet related question or a business operational question. Second to that is gaining access to others who have experience with the topic you’ve just researched. The truest value of an association in our industry is one that can anticipate the key needs of most of us in the industry, provide the resources we need in the areas of key concern and have done the time consuming research for us. I believe the additional resources of IBPSA will be an asset to the pet care services industry.
